And that worship should invade every aspect of our lives. Worship starts with really knowing who God is and trusting God. When we understand how good and loving God is, our hearts respond. We begin to value God more than anything else, finding joy and peace. This love for God then shows up in what we say, lifting our praise, and in what we do, by helping and caring for others in Jesus’ name. Worship is the way we show love, honor, and devotion to God. It includes praying, singing, reading Scripture, listening, and celebrating. However, worship is not just about the service itself -- it’s about turning our hearts toward God, thanking God for life, and seeking to live in a way that reflects God’s love every day. Since its beginning, Brenthaven Church has sought to be a place for community. What does that mean? It means that anyone who comes through those doors are welcomed to be part of the community of witnesses who worship, fellowship, and serve together. Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to be part of the church family. But community also means that we are available to the needs of those around us. A welcoming community of Christian disciples seeking to love and serve God and neighbor We are a traditional, mid-sized congregation with a friendly atmosphere; a place where people of diverse ages and backgrounds worship together, minister to one another, and serve our community. We are excited to show you who we are and welcome all guests to visit us and learn even more about our community of faith. Visitors, while not singled out, are warmly welcomed. As our guest for the Sunday morning worship service, you will find people dressed in a variety of ways. We welcome you as you are! Looking for a church family can be a difficult process. We pray that upon your visit to Brenthaven, you will feel God’s love and grace as you worship with us. We look forward to meeting you! We offer a traditional style of worship. The use of hymns, responsive prayers and affirmations of faith will be found in most of our services. Most Sundays the music is accompanied by the organ and piano. However, we also that worship is ever evolving and that there is no one way to worship God. So, you may show up and find a band leading worship or maybe that the focus of worship is more prayerful. While there is comfort in the familiar, it is important to be listen for the Spirit. We do celebrate communion on the first Sunday of the month, as well as on Maundy Thursday, Easter and Christmas Eve. A nursery is provided during both Sunday school and the morning worship service. After the children's sermon, children under the age of 5 are invited to their own "worship time” in the nursery, if they so choose. We encourage the participation of children in the life of the church through worship. We know there are many churches to choose from in the area. We also know that Brenthaven is small in comparison to many of the churches around. That’s why, when you walk through our doors, we want you to experience the friendly feeling of a family home. From being greeted at our doors to the warmth of a Sunday service, it is our prayer that you will encounter God as you come to worship. But be warned, you can’t just slip in and think no one will speak! That’s what makes us special. We want you here and we want you to feel like you belong – just as you are! Two Cumberland Presbyterian congregations, Brentwood and Brookhaven merged in October, 2003, forming the Brenthaven Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Each church had been witnessing to and serving their communities for more than 60 years and the merger was predicated upon the belief that the two congregations could be strengthened and provide a more effective witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ in northern Williamson and southern Davidson counties. In the 20 years of Brenthaven, we have been blessed by the many people who have made us their church home. They have a choice of acceptance or rejection. “Whoever believes” is redeemed. Persons are set into right relations with God by faith, and not by works. Salvation is a gift of God’s grace, not something earned or merited. Beginning Christians are like babes in Christ, they have only just been born. All Christians need to grow continually throughout their years in capacity to receive God’s grace, and in the ability to live the Christian life. The holy scriptures are the 66 books contained in the Old and New Testaments. They tell the story of our faith in all its richness. As we read and study the scriptures through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we find ourselves addressed by God and God’s purposes for us and the world. As such, the scriptures are the authoritative guide for Christian living. We do not limit ourselves to any one translation of the Bible but seek always for a deeper understanding of God’s word addressing us through the words of scripture. The Cumberland Presbyterian Church considers itself to be a part of the Holy Universal Church, consisting of all who have made covenant with God through Jesus Christ. We are one of the many communions who belong to God. The Sacraments are celebrations of the covenant in which Christ mysteriously is present and active. We accept two Sacraments, Baptism and the Lord’s Supper or Holy Communion. Through God’s presence, work, and will, they are made effective. The elements of water, fruit of the vine, and bread are signs and symbols and remain what they are. The Sacraments are not essential to salvation but are necessary means of grace. The Sacraments are central to Christian worship. We do not believe in the natural immortality of the soul. Eternal life is a gift from God through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. We are raised with him through our conversion. Eternal life is a living relation with God (John 17:3) which continues more completely after death when full redemption shall be ours in the resurrection of the body. The Cumberland Presbyterian Church dates its beginning back to the period known as the "Great Awakening". An outgrowth of the Revival of 1800, the founders disagreed with the Presbyterian church on issues such as predestination and the educational requirements for ministers on the frontier. They believed the scriptures supported a "who-so-ever will" gospel with God's grace available to all who would accept it. Three ministers founded the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in 1810 in a log cabin located in what is now Montgomery Bell State Park in Dickson, Tennessee. The church grew rapidly, spreading the gospel in the expanding frontier and supplied ministers to meet the needs of the many pioneering families. Today, the denomination supports various institutions including Bethel University in McKenzie, TN, Memphis Theological Seminary in Memphis, TN, and the Cumberland Youth and Family Services in Denton, TX. The denomination hosts missionaries in various parts of the world. Kip Rush, the first pastor of Brenthaven Church, has been a lifelong Cumberland Presbyterian. Raised in Austin, Texas, he grew up in the St. Paul Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He answered the call to the ministry in 1983 and after a year at the University of Texas, he moved to McKenzie, Tennessee to attend Bethel College (now Bethel University). While at Bethel, he met and married his wife, Jodi. Kip graduated from Bethel in 1986 and later from Memphis Theological Seminary (1990), where he served as president of the Student Government Association, received the award for Cumberland Presbyterian History and graduated with honors. He was ordained at the Colonial Cumberland Presbyterian Church by Trinity Presbytery and has served churches in Texas, Georgia and Mississippi before coming to Brenthaven. Kip serves on the Board of Christian Education in Nashville Presbytery and the Board of Trustees for Memphis Theological Seminary. He also serves as the Stated Clerk of Tennessee Synod of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Kip and Jodi have two daughters, Madison, who is a fourth-grade teacher and Devin, who works as a counselor. Ean serves as Associate Pastor at Brenthaven, where he has been part of the ministry team since 2017. A graduate of Antioch High School, he earned his bachelor’s degree from Austin Peay State University in 2015 and his Master of Divinity from Memphis Theological Seminary in 2021. He was ordained by Nashville Presbytery that same year, right here at Brenthaven. Ean has been active in vocational youth ministry since 2012 and continues to find joy in walking alongside students and families through seasons of learning, growth, and transition - from middle school milestones to graduations, college, and beyond. He regularly supports youth by showing up at their extracurricular activities, celebrating their gifts, and encouraging them outside of church walls. As Associate Pastor, he also contributes to Brenthaven’s discipleship ministries and is always excited to empower the church to learn and grow in new ways. He serves as a Director for both Nashville Presbyterial Camps and Tennessee Synodic Camps and Retreats. Ean and his wife, Brooke enjoy hiking, backpacking, and running together, especially while traveling. In his downtime, he’s likely to be rolling dice for a Dungeons & Dragons campaign or sharing laughs across the table during a meal with friends and family. A Nashville native, Linda Williams Pulley has been a lifelong Cumberland Presbyterian. Linda graduated from John Overton High School. She attended Austin Peay State University where she participated in the choir, marching and concert bands and jazz band as well as the women’s varsity tennis team. Linda was an active member of Sigma Alpha Iota Women’s Music Fraternity where she served as Vice President and President. She earned her bachelor’s degree with a double major in music and business. Linda has been teaching private piano lessons since 1987 as well as serving in some musical capacity in church since 1983. She has had the privilege of serving as Director of Music at Brenthaven since January 2004. Through her years at Brenthaven, she has been blessed to work with the adult choir, the handbell choir and many children, whether in a choir setting or in preparation for children’s services, Christmas plays or worship services. Linda is married to Larry, and they are the proud parents of two young ladies, Laura Ellen and Lorri Jean. Karen has been on staff since 2021 and is a transplant from Central Florida, where she grew up. She moved to Nashville to be near her two grandchildren, Copely, 11 and Grady, 6. Karen has a B.A. in Communications from the University of South Florida in Tampa and has spent most of her career in publishing as a content writer and editor, but she also spent several years early on as a classroom teacher in both private and public schools. As the church secretary, she loves welcoming and interacting with everyone who comes into the church office. She loves meeting people of various ages and backgrounds and engaging in conversation with them and thinks this is the best part of her job. She believes that a warm smile and friendly hello could make a big difference in someone’s day. Karen considers herself a creative person and a lover of all things artsy, especially music, visual arts, and creative writing. She enjoys singing, drawing and mixed media, and writing poetry. Elders are the immediate representatives of the people, elected by them to share with ministers in the government and leadership of the church. The elders who comprise the session share with the ministers and staff in the pastoral oversight of the church. We exist to bring glory to God by making disciples through gospel-centered worship, gospel-centered community, gospel-centered service and gospel-centered multiplication. This is our process for discipleship. Out of this gospel-centered service is the overflow of discipleship, serving those in and outside the church. One of the ways we pursue and live out this discipleship trait is through volunteer opportunities Volunteers in Anthem Kids minister to our 1st - 5th graders during weekend worship services through singing, telling stories and teaching the truth of God's Word with the children. They check in kids, lead classrooms, provide assistance to classroom teachers and sing or play in the worship band. We're always looking for great individuals to love and serve our kids, and help show the love of Christ to them during our gatherings. If you're someone who would like to serve, or just know a little bit more about Anthem Kids, please connect with us. **Sunday Gatherings:**Those serving in our Student Ministry on Sundays get the opportunity to build and foster relationships with students, ministering them through the teaching of Scripture, worship and intentional discipleship.  **Midweek Gatherings:**Student Ministries also meets together midweek for games, community, teaching and bible discussions. We start the evening together playing games and hearing a message, specially crafted for middle and high school students. **Sunday Gatherings:** Our Sunday morning gatherings are the beginning for most people at Anthem. We need people who can serve as set-up and greeters, as well as members of the worship team.  **Community Groups:** Because our Community Groups are so central to the life here at Anthem, we are always in need of more people to host, lead and co-lead a group. Donating your time is not the only way to serve at Anthem. There are recurring costs to operating and staffing our ministry, as well as helping us do work throughout our community and the world. We believe that God calls us to give, and to give generously. We give you a chance to worship in this way on our website. As Jesus left this world, his parting words to his disciples were: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." Church can be an intimidating place to visit — especially if you don’t know what to expect. We invite you to experience what the gospel means both intellectually and relationally at one of our Sunday worship services. You can engage with others as much as you want, or remain anonymous if you prefer. We hope that through visiting with us, you will experience the hope, love and joy that comes from a community of people who love Jesus. We look for God’s love in our lives as the evidence that we have been truly worshipping Him. At Anthem Church, worship is central to everything. Worship means learning to recognize God’s goodness while delighting to deepen in our responses.  It means purposing together, as individuals and as a community, to unite our actions, intentions, and emotions in loving response to God. It means transforming the ways we think so that what we do and who we are become one—in, for, through, and to the Father, Son, and Spirit. We believe that practical, relevant teaching is the catalyst for transformation in an individual's life. Scripture is inspired by God, completely accurate and our authority regarding Christian beliefs and the guide for Christian living. We value Scripture—the Bible—as the basis for understanding who God is and how to orient our lives fully around Him. You can expect that each Sunday morning will include a set-aside time for hearing from Scripture, as well as practical teaching surrounding God's Word. We know that attending a church service for the first time can be a super scary thing... Being unsure of what the dress, culture or even when to stand up and sit down can be a weirdly paralyzing thought! At Anthem, you can expect friendly and authentic people, engaging and relevant music and worship, compelling preaching from the Bible, and an opportunity to encounter God. You will be encouraged and maybe even challenged. We've created a first-time visitors guide that will help you navigate your first time at an Anthem gathering, and help ease any questions or concerns you might have before attending. We’re just taking care of it while we’re here. That’s what ‘stewardship’ means—using God’s gifts wisely. It’s not just about money, it’s really about how we live every day. Giving is an important way we worship God and show our love for God and for others. Through giving, we’re able to support the worship, the programs, and the mission of our church as we serve our community. We don’t set an amount for anyone to give, but we encourage everyone to give faithfully and to grow in generosity as they are able. We have an opportunity to give during the worship service each Sunday. You can give safely and securely through our website’s online portal. Jesus said, *“Let the children come to me, and do not stop them, for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.”* – Matthew 19:14 We welcome kids with love, joy, and plenty of chances to grow in faith. Worship is for all ages. Children, youth, and adults gather side by side in the sanctuary. Wiggles, giggles, and even cries are welcome here! We believe kids learn by being part of the whole worshiping community. Nursery care is also available if families prefer. The Sunday School hour not only teaches the children the stories of our faith, but it does so through unique lesson plans that encourage learning through art, storytelling, computer, science, cooking, and games. Our preschoolers enjoy a short Bible story each week along with hands-on activities like crafts, music, games, and rhymes, helping them discover God’s love in simple, memorable ways. Using a **Rotation Model**, children explore the same Bible story for several weeks through art, drama, games, science, and storytelling. This hands-on style makes God’s Word stick in their hearts and minds. During the 10:45 am service, nursery care is available for infants and toddlers. Loving volunteers and trained caregivers provide a safe, nurturing space while parents worship. Volunteer service is encouraged. Children serve as worship acolytes, lectors, and leaders of special services. They organize fund-raising campaigns for concerns that are dear to their hearts. They give of their talents every Christmas through a church play and our Live Nativity. From Vacation Bible School to swim parties, from movie and game nights to lock-ins and bowling, and of course Trunk or Treat, we love being together. A typical night could include Bible study, discussion, games, and moments of checking in to connect faith with real life. Youth are led by **Pastor Ean** and a team of dedicated volunteers, all background-checked for safety. Our youth group is called **Youth R.O.C.K.S.** for two reasons. First, it is the foundation that brings Brenthaven together. Our youth are leaders among our congregation and play a vital role in shaping the spirit, service, and future of our church community. Second, it’s an acronym for four things that shape our ministry: Refreshing, Opportunities, Christian Knowledge, and Service. For a teenager, faith in the Christian life can seem stagnant and stale. Youth ROCKS looks for as many ways as possible to provide a refreshing faith experience for our young people. There are many different opportunities and experiences for students. We go to camps, conferences, retreats and fun events around town. We go to one another’s extracurricular activities to show our support and be there for each other. We go to concerts together, dinner together, and overall enjoy life together. We find Christian truths in many parts of our world. We look at popular songs, famous movies, interesting people, and many other things to understand where and how God is operating in our world. And all of this is on top of some deep opportunities for Bible study! This fall, Youth ROCKS is diving into our theme “Party?!?” Together we’re exploring the stories of joy, celebration, and rejoicing found throughout scripture, discovering how God’s welcome is always worth celebrating. We follow Jesus' example by seeking justice, mercy, and peace for all people. This often leads us to serving local nonprofits and ministries that help people in our area and beyond. Also, each summer we take a mission trip to serve ministries in other areas of the United States! Youth ROCKS is more than just a program. All classes are open and welcoming to adults of all ages at any time. We look forward to having you join us! One of the busiest groups in the church, the Women’s Ministry are women of Brenthaven Church committed to the ministries of prayer, study, service, and fellowship. They meet monthly and can found folding diapers for Diaper Connection, serving food at Loads of Love, sending cards to shut-ins and those who are sick, and stuffing socks for the homeless. Every woman in the church is invited to join them. Young @ Heart is a senior adult ministry group that meets the 1st, 3rd and 5th Mondays for cards, dominoes, games, and lunch. They have also taken a few trips over the years. Want to play some bridge? This group meets twice a month for a time of fellowship around the card table. It never gets too heated and the competition is fun, with fellowship even better! These women meet weekly to knit, crochet, paper craft and fellowship over lunch. This is open to all. This group uses their creative talents to produce items to raise money to support Sacred Sparks, a local homeless ministry. They have also sponsored an annual craft fair called the Creative Sparks Craft Fair. The BookEnd Bookclub meets once a month to review a wide assortment of books as voted on by the group. At the beginning of every year, they choose the books and gather on the third Thursday of the month. Fellowship is so important and Brenthaven offers a wide range of opportunities for fellowship. The annual picnic at Granny White Park offers a great outing for all ages. The Chili Cook-off pits the very best, trying to outdo one another while raising money Sacred Sparks. Buildings are beautiful, but it is the individuals who come together, sharing their gifts, that make us the body of Christ. Brenthaven is blessed with so many who give their time to the ministry of the church. While some may be out front in leadership, there are many more who work behind the scenes to help fulfill the churches mission. Did you ever wonder how Sunday School materials are chosen? This group of church members meets monthly to determine and discuss all Christian educational materials for Brenthaven Church. They support and develop Wednesday evening classes and meals. This group is in charge of community events at Brenthaven. They coordinate and run Trunk or Treat, which occurs the Sunday evening before Halloween annually, Live Nativity, a walk through the story of Jesus's birth, Pet Blessings and much more. This group supports the various missions that the Cumberland Presbyterian Church as a whole participate in, as well as our local community and church. This includes international missions and missionaries, and domestic and local mission work. They host fundraising lunches, support our youth group on their annual mission trip, and collect goods to send to various areas. This group participates in music selection for regular worship services as well as special events. Brenthaven has a very active vocal choir, will utilize a hand bell choir, and will include other talented musicians in worship. This includes church lunches, picnics, Nashville Sounds games and maybe even going bowling. Everyone has a gift, and God calls us all to use that gift in sharing the Good News. We do so by serving as a polling place for elections and allowing various 12-Step groups utilize our facility when available. But there are other ways we serve our community. Brenthaven partners with both Red Cross and Blood Assurance to help in getting the blood needed to support the hospitals around the Nashville area and beyond. While our membership may not be large, we can offer them space for their drives and do so whenever feasible. We know that the blood they get will help save lives around the area. Each summer, Brenthaven dedicates a week of fun and learning to the children. Thanks to the creativity of many in the congregation, the church is transformed into a world for children\\n. Whether it becomes a frozen tundra, the wilderness, an underwater world, or an Olympic stadium, we make VBS an opportunity to learn of God’s grace in a special way. It takes many volunteers to make it happen, everything from teachers to music to working in the kitchen, Brenthaven wants this to be an unforgettable week! We love our pets! And remember the great saint, Frances of Assissi, Brenthaven holds a Pet Blessing for the community. Traditionally, this has been held on the first Sunday of October, the date set aside to remember St. Francis, the patron saint of animals. Though not held every year, the service is special each time it is held. Over the years, the variety of pets has spanned from dogs and cats to Guinea pigs and geckos. Do you like to dress up? Do you like candy? Do you like fun and fellowship? Come decorate your trunk, wear your costume, play games, win prizes, or just come to see the fun. We provide popcorn, drinks and of course, lots and lots of candy! It is held the Sunday before October 31. Bring your family and join us from **4:00-6:00 pm** for an evening full of games, candy, and fun. The event is free, and you can arrive anytime during the two-hour window. Everyone is welcome—just come ready to enjoy some spooky fun! ? Want to help make Trunk or Treat even more special? Sign up to host a trunk! You can decorate your car however you like and even provide a simple or creative game for the kids to play as they collect their treats. We ask that trunks are set up by **3:45pm**. Hosting a trunk is a great way to connect with families and serve the community. Whether you’re attending or volunteering, we can’t wait to see you at **Trunk or Treat**! On the Sunday evening before Christmas, Brenthaven comes alive with sheep, goats, zebus and maybe even a camel or a llama pretending to be camel, as we have our annual Live Nativity. This has become community favorite as families brings their children and friends and walk thru the story of our Lord’s birth. Members of the church portray the key characters, Mary, Joseph, the magi and shepherds, and even the innkeeper, as groups travel around the parking lot visiting various scenes of the story. Inside the church, soups are offered to warm the bodies and relax as they listen to Christmas music. It is Brenthaven’s gift to the community as Christmas arrives. Worship is not limited to just Sunday mornings. Throughout the year, special services are planned. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, the 40 days leading up to Easter. This service reminds that “from dust we came, and to dust we shall return”. It is a somber service that includes the marking of our forehead with the cross, made from the ashes of the palms from the previous year. The Thursday before Easter, this is a service that remembers the new commandment that Jesus gave to his disciples and to us – to love as he has loved us. This service includes communion and ends with the stripping of the church, preparing for Good Friday. The Good Friday service is called Tenebrae. This is a service that ends in darkness. It begins as thirteen candles are extinguished after a portion of the Passion story is read. At the end, only one light shines in the darkness – the Christ candle. This service is held every Christmas Eve and brings together families as we sing carols, hear the story of the nativity, take communion, and end in a big circle around the sanctuary singing Silent Night. This special service is sure to set the mood for Christmas Day. And while these are yearly, there may be others that are planned. One never knows when God will us to worship. Many of these events cannot happen without the kindness of folks sharing their time. We actively participate in service to others, from the very basic of needs for earthly survival and shelter to ministering to the spiritual needs of others. The service and ministry takes the form of **(1)** being present and building relationships with friends in the homeless community, **(2)** providing real opportunities for spiritual growth through worship, study, and pastoral care, and **(3)** providing outreach and basic necessities for survival, shelter, and well-being. It is a ministry that started at Brenthaven and is now officially an outreach ministry of Nashville Presbytery. Brenthaven helps by supplying propane and winter coats during the winter montha sna dsupplying food when needed. A part of Sacred Sparks’ ministry has been to provide to friends in the homeless and surrounding community an opportunity to wash their clothes and be blessed with a warm lunch and friendship. Each week, volunteers wash 2,000 pounds of laundry. Brenthaven has shared in the work by helping wash clothes and by preparing meals. – GraceWorks Ministries was established in 1995 by a group of concerned Williamson County citizens and faith leaders who sought a comprehensive, collaborative solution to the complex issue of poverty. Brenthaven assists by gathering food for their pantry and helping in any other ways that we can assist. Brenthaven reaches outside its local area by going into the nation and the world and serving in various areas. While the youth have mission trips yearly, Brenthaven has sponsored numerous mission trips for all members over the years. Trips have included: Brenthaven supports the mission ministry of the Cumberland Presbyterian church by encouraging giving to programs such as The offering is named for two lifelong missionary families – Buddy and Beverly Stott (Japan) and Boyce and Beth Wallace (Colombia). The Stotts served as missionaries for 26 years and the Wallaces served as missionaries for over 50 years. Usually taken during the Pentecost season, this offering helps pay for the missionaries serving around the world in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Loaves & Fishes is an annual offering for those in need. Yet, it is more than just an offering. It’s a sacred opportunity—for us and for the world—to witness the glory of our God, who brings abundance into barren places. It is usually taken up in October and November, returned on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. One of the new areas of mission has been the establishment of churches in Haiti. We're excited you're here. We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating, and going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We want to help make your first experience at Brenthaven Church a great one! Please take a moment to connect with our greeters and let them know you are a visitor. You will be greeted with a smile, handed a bulletin and they will be glad to help in any way you may need. Brenthaven Church meets for Sunday School every Sunday morning at 9:30 am and worship at 10:45 am. We will also meet occasionally on Wednesday evenings as well for times of connection and growth. Please check our Facebook account for the most current information on our service times as well as for special events, etc. Brenthaven offers a traditional worship service at 10:45 am on Sunday mornings the sanctuary. A typical service includes hymns, affirmations of faith, and sermons for both children and adults. We pray that the Holy Spirit will descend upon us and bless our worship, not only in our new building, but also in our daily lives and activities. Those who may need hearing assistance, download the Listen app on your apple or android phone. You will connect to the network, Sanctuary. Come as you are. You are welcome here. We aren’t perfect, and we won’t try to pretend we are. We welcome you to join us in our journey of becoming more like Jesus together. Our goal is to cultivate a Kingdom atmosphere that fosters loving and caring for one another, connecting with the presence of Jesus, and being impacted by the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. We believe that children are valuable in the worship experience. We want them to be a part and encourage parents to bring them. However, we know some may be too young and we have available a nursery for those children under 5 years old. They will be well cared for in the nursery. Yes, we offer classes for all ages, even adults. Sunday school begins at 9:30 am, though it would be no surprise to see someone arrive after that time. Adult classes vary in their style of study and the materials used. There is more information at the Welcome Center in the area outside the sanctuary. We encourage to grab a devotional, a copy of the latest newsletter or anything else you see. Sacred Steps meets biweekly at Deerwood Arboretum in Brentwood for relaxed walks through the beauty of creation. No experience needed! Bring a friend and a good pair of shoes! Faithful Pour meets monthly near Nolensville for relaxed evenings of good conversation and shared bourbon. No expertise required! Just come ready to listen, laugh, and be part of the group. Each gathering includes a short reflection connecting bourbon to faith and everyday life. Bring a friend and pull up a chair! Table Talk meets every other Saturday at 10 AM at First Watch in Brentwood on Franklin Rd. Join Us for relaxed mornings around good food and even better conversation. How can food relate to scripture? Tasty discoveries and experiments will show us how!  Hands-on crafts inspired by bright, playful treats that bring the message of the week to life. Learn songs in our interactive music class! Designed to open our hearts to Jesus’s love, we remember: “God’s got a recipe for me!” Utilize teamwork and get energy out with food-themed recreation. “Brenthaven VBS is awesome! My kids have loved going to the different classes like science and recreation, and always come away having learned something. We are very thankful to be welcomed into a place that truly values children.”  A homeschool Mom of three and a lifelong learner, I love to teach almost as much as I love to learn- and my passion is Jesus’s message. Working with children since 2005, I’m devoted to cultivating an environment where young ones feel safe, seen and excited about learning who God is and who he’s created them to be.
