We strongly believe in the Great Commission and in the missionary call traditionally reflected in the vision and purpose of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. We actively participate in service to others, from the very basic of needs for earthly survival and shelter to ministering to the spiritual needs of others.
Brenthaven has sponsored numerous mission trips for our members over the years. Recent trips include:
- Repairing homes for the Oglala Sioux at the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota.
- Relief work for hurricane Katrina/Rita victims at various sites along the gulf coast.
- Organizing a Bible school program for the children of the Beth-El Farmworker Ministry in Florida.
- International trips to Colombia and Mexico
- A youth trip to the Cumberland Presbyterian Children’s Home in Denton, Texas
In addition, we actively support the following organizations through donations of time, money, service, and/or goods:
Grace Works Ministries Nashville Rescue Mission Beth-El Farmworker Ministry Operation Christmas Child Bethel College Memphis Theological Seminary
